I’m a big believer in the mind body connection.
I’ve had many aha! moments right after an intense workout. I consider exercise as part of my spiritual practice. You may be thinking that exercise isn’t relaxing, or the word “ spiritual” may be totally weird regarding exercise. But stay with me for a minute.
By focusing on movement, breath and reputations, it calms our minds. It becomes a form of moving meditation. Most of us are used to yoga and tai chi which can help us get there, but any movement practice can bring us to the here and now.
Clear. Focused. Present.
But the first step to achieving this is a shift in your thinking. Your main reason to exercise can’t be because you “have to” or because you want to lift your butt or get a flat stomach. (Those things are fine, but they can’t be what’s driving you). Getting the most out of your workouts for your mind, body, and spirit, and cultivating the habit of daily movement, really comes down to the way you look at exercise.
This is the REAL secret. Work on this one, and the rest will come naturally.
To motivate you to get moving this weekend, below are two workouts you can do anywhere. The first one is a brand new HIIT routine, and the second one is an oldie but a goodie out door workout.

In the comments below, I’d love for you to share why you are committed to moving your body.
Sincerely,
Ana
