Work-Life balance seems to be a major topic on everyone’s mind.
According to time magazine, a survey of the top 100 newspapers and magazines around the world showed a huge increase of articles on this topic; from 32 articles from 1986 – 1996 to 1674 articles in 2007 alone.
ummmmm…. to say that most of us feel stressed out and pulled in many different directions is an understatement.
We know that maintaining a healthy life balance is über important for our happiness and well-being; but it’s also essential for productivity and career success.
But with so many of us googling “work-life balance”, and thousands of articles being written on the topic, does this even really exist?
Here’s the deal- you’ll never get everything done. There will ALWAYS be more work that you can finish. And compartmentalizing all areas of your life into equal little boxes is a waste of time because it’s not possible. There is no such thing as a perfect work-life balance.
But, making small shifts everyday that help you create a healthier balance, is possible.
