And today’s step (along with your green smoothie) is about setting yourself up for success.
Setting resolutions or goals is a great way to start the year fresh, but as many of us know all too well, ditching old habits isn’t easy. Especially if you’re relying on willpower.
Willpower only really works in the short term. It’s like saying No! over and over to yourself. A form of punishment. Now, where’s the fun and excitement in that?
To succeed in the long you need to design a program that will change your life in small ways you can live with.
Staying motivated and connected everyday is the tough part. This is the most difficult step I see when I work with my clients. The big goals are more fun for most of us. But the day to day is the less sexy part.

Step 2: Make this recipe for breakfast

Ingredients
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1/2 banana
- 1 cup fresh or frozen pineapple
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
- 1/4 avocado
- 3 tablespoons coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
Instructions
Add the spinach and almond milk in a blender. Blend until there are no bits left.
Add in remaining ingredients. Blend on low until smooth. (You may need some additional water.)
Sprinkle with coconut.
